Magda passed away in Budapest, Hungary on January 28, 2007 after a battle with kidney disease.

A fountain has been erected in the town of Barand, Hungary, honoring the contribution she made to the cultural richness of Hungary.

Her artworks are also on permanent display in this town, where the church bell rang until her funeral in Budapest on February 8th at Rakoskereszturi Uj Koztemeto.
